“Geraldine loves tech because it enables her and her team to deliver effective, person-centred care and support”

Independent living features in our Conference 2023

There were concerns that Mr and Mrs X weren’t eating on a regular basis. The family had also raised concerns about Mrs X wandering at night. Lilli was installed. The couple also had a small care package with informal carers attending. Whilst Lilli identified that the fridge door was being opened and the kettle used, it couldn’t confirm that the couple were eating on a regular basis. Mr and Mrs X’s carers were therefore asked to look for evidence that food was been consumed, such as dirty plates in the sink and food packets in the bin. Using information from both, it was established that the couple were eating regularly. Lilli was also able to evidence that the couple had a regular and safe sleep pattern, and weren’t wandering at night as had been feared.

Lilli was able to provide the necessary evidence and reassurance to enable their social care worker (Geraldine) to confirm the couple were safe in their own home. The care package remained the same throughout the time Lilli was in situ.
