Ensuring Peace of Mind: How Lilli's Intervention Reassured Jakub's Family About His Care

The background Jakub’s family raised concerns with his care worker about whether he was eating or drinking properly as they felt he may have not been. This gave them concerns about his wellbeing and they wanted to make sure he was still able to live at home and take care of himself.

The background

Jakub’s family raised concerns with his care worker about whether he was eating or drinking properly as they felt he may have not been. This gave them concerns about his wellbeing and they wanted to make sure he was still able to live at home and take care of himself.

Addressing concerns

Lilli was installed to help Jakub’s carer see that he was regularly using the kettle and microwave. This indicated that he was using his kitchen appliances to make himself meals and cups of tea, showing that he was eating and drinking as expected.

Supporting a care decision

Lilli helped give Jakub’s carer the confidence and evidence that she did not need to make any alterations to his care package, and that he was managing his meals as normal. This gave Jakub’s family the reassurance that all was well and Jakub was living safely and comfortably in his own home.

The outcome

Lilli gave Jakub’s family peace of mind, and equipped his care worker with the evidence to go back to the family and show them that everything was as expected. This enabled her to keep Jakub’s care package the same, and potentially avoid a higher care package which would have not been required.
