Digital Health and Care Strategy

In October 2021, Digital Health and Care Scotland published the refreshed Digital Health & Care Strategy for Scotland, which sets out the potential for digital technology to transform health and social care.

Technology Enabled Care Programme

Tec Enabled Care logoThe TEC Programme is part of the Scottish Government’s Digital Health and Care Directorate. The programme focuses on citizen facing digital solutions where “outcomes for individuals in home or community settings are improved through the application of technology as an integral part of quality, cost effective care and support to look after more people at home”.

Technology for our Ageing Population: Panel for Innovation (TAPPI)

The Housing Learning and Improvement Network (LIN) is a network supporting people working in housing, health and social care. It aims to provide the latest policy, practice, research and innovation in housing with care for older and vulnerable people.

The report by the TAPPI sets out 10 practical principles to build technology into housing, in a way that improves life for the ageing population. It identifies the success factors and barriers to integrating technology into housing and care. In the second phase of its work, the Panel will develop a framework for technology and digital infrastructure in housing.
